About Me

My name is Ilaria, and I am a passionate and dedicated piano teacher with 25 years of teaching experience. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music from South Korea and a Music Diploma from Rome, Italy. I am fluent in both English and Korean.

I currently offer personalized piano lessons in Richmond Hill.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced player, I can help you improve your technique, musicality, and overall enjoyment of playing the piano.

For the past 25 years, my teaching motto has been simple: learning the piano should always be enjoyable. I use a variety of materials tailored to each student’s needs, including RCM books, Christmas music, children’s songs, as well as sight-reading and music dictation exercises.

Lesson Details

Ages: Children, teens, and adults – all ages are welcome

Skill Levels: Beginner, intermediate, and advanced

Lesson Content:

Classical piano repertoire and RCM levels

Preparation for music festivals and competitions 

Music theory (from basics to advanced concepts)

Fundamental piano technique (finger exercises, scales, chords) 

Performance techniques across various genres 

Efficient practice methods (practice planning, piece selection)

Personalized Instruction: Every lesson is tailored to your individual needs and musical goals

Lesson Location : Lessons are held at my home studio near Bathurst & Gamble.

Lesson Fees

Beginner (Levels 1–3) 

Once a week: $35 / 40 mins → 4 lessons per month: $140 

Twice a week: $30 / 40 mins → 8 lessons per month: $240 (save $40)

Please note that the tuition fees will be adjusted for the Intermediate level and above.

Intermediate (Levels 4–5) 

Once a week lesson / Twice a week lesson

Upper Intermediate (Levels 6–7) 

Once a week lesson / Twice a week lesson

Advanced (Levels 8–9) 

Once a week lesson

Professional (Level 10 & ARCT) 

Once a week lesson
